Isozyme Markers

In response to the question from Robert Lebowitz about the availability of
mapped isozyme loci, one of the starchless mutants lacks activity of the 
plastid isozyme of phosphoglucomutase (the fastest migrating band of the 3
present in Arabidopsis leaves).  The mutant is described in Plant Physiol.
79:11-17.  We have mapped it to chromosome 5 (position 66.8 on the map 
assembled by Patton et al. MGG 227:337-347).  Seeds of the mutant which have
been backcrossed to WT Columbia 5 times are available from the Ohio State stock
center or from me.
