Mapping a gene to a specific Arabidopsis chromosome

Hello fellow netters:

Our lab is in the process of isolating the cDNAs for a number of translation
initiation and elongation factors from wheat and Arabidopsis.  We are
particularly interested in determining which chromosome or portion of a
chromosome for Arabidopsis these genes are located.  Is this relatively
straightforward using blots-- i.e. does someone out there in the Arabidopsis
community have blots of the different chromosomes or portions of chromosomes
obtained by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis?  Or is there some other approach
that might be suggested?  Any help will be greatly appreciated, and "thanks"
in advance.
