MOLECULAR GENETICIST


The Department of Biology at Virginia Commonwealth University
invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor
position.  Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate
genetics and, periodically, upper/lower level courses in the
candidate's area of specialty. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in
genetics or a closely related discipline; post-doctoral
experience is preferred.  The successful candidate will be
expected to develop an externally-funded research program in an
area of molecular genetics complementary to existing
environmental and plant genetics research programs.  Virginia
Commonwealth University is a culturally diverse institution with
an enrollment of 22,000 students.  The Biology Department
includes 26 faculty members and has a M.S. graduate
