To the Arabidopsis Community:

The following laboratories have responded to the mapping
and nomenclature survey recently distributed through this
email network by Mike Cherry (AAtDB) and by postal mail
from ABRC at Ohio State University:

Form # 1 (Mapping Data - Mutant Genes)

Deng (Yale)
Estelle (Indiana)
Jurgens (Munich)
Meinke (Oklahoma State)
Relichova (Czechoslovakia)
Meyerowitz (Cal Tech)
Crawford (UC San Diego)
Finkelstein (UC Santa Barbara)
Crute (AFRC)
Cobbett (Australia)

Form # 3 (New Gene Symbols)

Callis (UC Davis)
Dangl (Germany)
Deng (Yale)
Estelle (Indiana)
Green (British Columbia)
Jurgens (Munich)
Last (Boyce Thompson)
Meinke (Oklahoma State)
Ohlrogge (Michigan State)
Pyke (York, UK)
Relichova (Czechoslovakia)

Sung (UC Berkeley)
Thomashow (Michigan State)
Williamson (Australia)
Meyerowitz (Cal Tech)
Comai (Washington)
Gasser (UC Davis)
Crawford (UC San Diego)
Cobbett (Australia)

This is a good start, but is still not representative
of the entire community. If your name is not on this
list, and you have gene symbols or mapping data to
contribute, please return your completed forms this
week. If you know of a lab that has information to
contribute but is not on the above list, please call
them or send an email message and encourage them to
respond. Genetic maps and databases are of limited
use if they are incomplete.
