Translational Control of Gene Expression in Plants

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position for a fixed period of 3
years and a full or part time technician (for between 18 to 36 months) to work
on molecular mechanisms of translational control of gene expression during
reproductive development in plants. The project will involve the analysis of the
mechanism of action of translational enhancer sequences and the analysis of
the role of specific initiation factors. The project is funded by the Science
and Education Research Council in a grant jointly held by Dr D. Twell and Dr G.
Foster. The postdoctoral candidate should possess a good biological sciences
degree and a PhD in a relevant area. The technician should posses a degree in
biological sciences. Previous experience of working with plants is not

Applications in writing including a cv and the names and addresses of two
