A postdoctoral positions is available immediately to work on the
molecular biology and biochemistry of plant lipid metabolism and on
the isolation of T-DNA tagged genes involved in temperature responses
in Arabidopsis. This research is designed to support and extend
studies of lipid mutants of Arabidopsis that show developmental and
temperature dependent phenotypes (Science 252:80-87, 1991; J.
Biol. Chem. 267;1502-1509, 1992) and at present is funded for 2 to
3 years. The Institute of Biological Chemistry provides a strong
environment for research with a total of over 90 researchers
investigating diverse aspects of plant biochemistry and molecular
biology. Applicants should have experience in biochemistry,
molecular biology and/or cell biology but prior work with plants is
not essential. Salary will depend on experience. A cover letter
