We are pleased to announce a new facility to allow ordering of stocks
from the Nottingham Arabidopsis Stock Centre (NASC).

It is now possible to order NASC stocks from within the latest release
of AAtDB (An Arabidopsis thaliana database) using an on-line, World
Wide Web (WWW) version of the database held at the National Agricultural
Library (NAL), USA. The system uses the public domain software
developed by Guy Decoux for ACEDB databases, which allows them
to be accessed interactively through the WWW. This service was
set up by Doug Bigwood at NAL and displays version 3-3 of
AAtDB, curated by John Morris at MGH, Boston, USA.

The URL for the WWW interface to AAtDB on the Agricultural
Genome WWW server at NAL is, http://probe.nalusda.gov:8300.
Here you will see a list of options from which you can choose to
browse or query AAtDB on-line.

Within the database each Germplasm_Resource record now has a direct
link to the NASC WWW server. To send an order to NASC merely
select the button called Place order with Nottingham Centre. This will
take you to an Order Form which can be filled out and sent. It is
possible to view the rest of the information carried on the NASC
server from this file or to return to AAtDB for further on-line
browsing and querying.

The NAL server is maintained by Doug Bigwood and Sam Cartinhour
as part of the USDA's Plant Genome Database project. I would
particularly like to thank Doug for establishing this new and exciting
ordering facility.

Orders can still be sent by mail, email, telephone, fax or through
the NASC WWW server to:
