Refer to these papers for separation of proteins,

1) Tricine-SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis for the separation of
proteins in the range from 1 to 100 K.   Anal. Biochem. 166, 368-379.

2) Architecture of physalis mottle tymovirus as probed by monoclonal
antibodies and cross-linking studies.  Virology, 193, 959-966.  In this
article authors show separation of 15 and 16 K proteins; 5.4 and 4.7K
proteins.
