Postdoctoral Position in Plant Disease Resistance at Purdue University


A postdoctoral position is available to investigate the role of disease 
resistance genes in plant defense responses.  The work will focus on the Pto 
gene family in tomato which confers resistance to the bacterial pathogen 
Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato (see MPMI 6:26-34; Science 262:14321436).  
Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree and experience in characterization of 
disease resistance, avr genes, and/or protein biochemistry.  Please submit a
