DEVELOPMENTAL GENETICIST

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MOLECULAR AND CELLULAR BIOLOGY
The Division of Biological Sciences, University of California, Davis,
invites application and nominations for an Assistant Professor of
Molecular and Cellular Biology.  This is a tenure-track position in the
Section of Molecular and Cellular Biology within the newly reorganized
Division.  Candidates must have a Ph. D. (or equivalent) and have an
outstanding record of achievement in research. . The candidate will be
expected to develop a strong research program in developmental genetics
using genetically amenable higher eukaryotic model systems.  This
position reflects the Section's ongoing commitment to building strength
in genetics at the undergraduate and graduate level.  Candidates should
submit a curriculum vitae, a statement of their current and proposed
research, and a statement of teaching experience and/or interests, and
arrange to have three letters of recommendation sent to:  Dr. Carol
Erickson, Chair, Search Committee, Section of Molecular and Cellular
Biology, Division of Biological Sciences, University of California,
Davis, CA 95616-8519.  Closing date:  Open until filled but all
application materials including letters of recommendation must be
received before December 1, 1994 to be assured full consideration.  The
