I have used the ECL random prime labelling kit from Amersham (#Cat 
RPN3029 contain everything), it works fine and the lebelling of probe 
can be tested within 30 min.  The geneomic southern works ok although 
the sensitivity for none of the ECLs is as high as P32 (5-10 fold 
lower).  But it is clean, cheap, fast, and the probe can be reused.
