databases

We will be setting up several computerized Macintosh-based databases to record
bacterial strains, plasmid constructs and mutant lines of the laboratory.  We a
re interested in hearing of peoples' experiences with such databases--suitable
programs, critical information to include, searching capabilities, problems, th
ings to avoid, etc.  Thank you in advance!
