Actually, this is Fred Hempel --

Dear Colleagues:

I apologize, but I DID NOT send the "forwarded" message.  What seems to
have happened is that I sent a message to the actual senders, complaining
about the same message when it was originally posted.  I think this is
her/their way of responding to me.  Note that the "forwarded " message had
no forwarding marks on the left margin.
