																Postdoctoral Research Associate
      								 Cell Commitment and Determination

Applications are invited for a 3 year postdoctoral position funded under 
the BBSRC Co-ordinated Research Initiative on Cell Commitment and 
Determination. The aim of the project is to investigate the molecular 
mechanisms responsible for establishing cell polarity and cell 
differentiation during pollen development. This will include the 
molecular-genetic analysis of polarity mutants in Arabidopsis and the 
analysis of signal transduction pathways in cultured cells. 

The position is available immediately with a start date no later than 1 
December 1995. Salary will be on the RA1A scale (#13,941 to #20,953) 
depending on qualifications and experience. Enthusiastic candidates who 
are interested in cell determination and commitment and who have 
experience in Arabidopsis molecular-genetics, molecular cloning and/or 
signal transduction are encouraged to apply.
