Dear Netters,
      A POSTDOCTORAL POSITION is available at the University of Arizona,
Tucson, Arizona for structure/function studies of the small heat shock
proteins which exhibit activities typical of molecular chaperones. The
project involves: 1) investigating the structural basis for in vitro
chaperone activity of recombinant proteins as probed by site-directed
mutagenesis, 2) determining structural parameters of the holoprotein
chaperone complex and properties necessary for its assembly, 3) in vivo
studies of protein function in yeast mutants.  Skill in protein/enzyme
characterization and basic molecular biology techniques and/or yeast genetics
and molecular biology are desired.  Candidates should send their curriculum
