Dear netters,
We are planning on purchasing a pulsed field unit for separation of
BACs and YACs. The BioRad CHEF units certainly appear to produce nice
gels, but they are rather expensive. Are they still the way to go? Or
are there other less expensive or functionally superior systems on the
market now. Let me know your experience, both good and bad, and I will
summarize and post to the net. Send replies to: csgasser at ucdavis.edu.

Thanks in advance,
