After checking this out, I am able to report the following:
Mr. Krishna did receive his certification from the Albany VAMC School of
Electron Microscopy and did spend one year earning that certification. He
has never been employed here or at any other VA Medical Center that I am
aware of. The work he is advertising is, IN NO WAY, sponsored by the
Albany VA Medical Center or the School of Electron Microscopy.
Mr. Krishna is not actively involved in any work being done at our medical
center and he has no affiliation with the School of Electron Microscopy
now and none expected in the future. In fact, EM School officials express
strong reservations that the tests he advertises could be performed
for the $50 fee he mentions. Those tests more likely cost between
$300-500 to perform.
The Albany VA Medical Center does have legitimate Sharing Agreements in
effect which allow outside tests to be performed. If there is interest in
that program, please contact SINGH.JASWANT at ALBANY.VA.GOV.
Medical Center management would appreciate your sharing this information
with the same newsgroup that received Mr. Krishna's original posting.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
