POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
University of Virginia


	Applications are invited for a POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
available immediately to study the regulation of differential
gene expression during host-pathogen interactions in higher
plants.  The project deals primarily with the evaluation of
host versus nonhost resistance responses of maize and other
agronomically important grasses to root parasites. The
suscessful candidate will hold a recent Ph.D., with
demonstrated expertise in molecular biology and training in
molecular plant pathology.  Prior experience with current
techniques for cDNA cloning, RT-PCR, and in situ hybridization
would be helpful, but not essential.  Interested individuals
