Antisense vs. cosuppression constructs?

Fri Feb 2 21:07:00 EST 1996

Dear netters,

I would greatly appreciate hearing about people's experiences with antisense
vs. cosuppression constructs in transgenic plants or animals. I am trying to
inhibit a weakly-expressed gene, and am wondering if a sense construct might be
more likely to work than antisense in this case. I have heard rumors that
weakly-expressed genes are difficult to antisense, at least in plants. I will
post a summary of replies if others are interested in this subject.

   Thank you in advance,
