The 1998 Plant Molecular Biology Gordon Conference will be held July 19-24,
1998 at New England College, Henniker NH. The focus of the meeting will be
Plant Biological Regulatory Mechanisms with sessions on Nuclear and
Cytoplasmic Control of Gene Expression, Gene Silencing, Plant-Microbe
Interactions, Metabolic Regulation, Molecular Genetics of Reproductive
Development, Plant Responses to Environmental Signals, and Hormonal Control.
The program including speakers and titles can be accessed through the Gordon
Conference Web site at http://www.grc.uri.edu
Applications may be submitted through the Gordon Conference web site or
using the application form that will be published in Science in February. To
maximize interactions, it is Gordon Conference policy to limit attendance to
135 participants. Some funds may be available to subsidize the costs of
students or postdocs who present posters. Students and postdocs who would
like to be considered for financial assistance are encouraged to include a
request with their application.
