Applications are invited for two BBSRC funded 3 year post doctoral
positions to work on a joint project between the laboratories of Dr. I.A.
Graham (University of Glasgow) and Dr A. Baker (University of Leeds) on the
identification and characterisation of key genes and mutants in fatty acid
breakdown in Arabidopsis. One post will be based in Leeds and the other in
Glasgow. Applicants, who are welcome to apply for either or both posts,
should have a PhD in plant molecular biology or genetics. Experience of
mutant screens (especially for the Glasgow post), gene cloning, PCR and
Arabidopsis transformation would be advantageous. These posts are available
immediately with an expected start date by March 1998. Further particulars
and an application form can be found on the web site
http://www.bmb.leeds.ac.uk/ab/postdoc or can be obtained from Mrs Diane
