A postdoctoral position is available immediately to participate in Iowa
State University's maize genome effort. This project consists of
coordinated thrusts in structural, functional, and computational
genomics. The successful candidate will apply cutting-edge technologies
to these fast-moving fields.
Ideal candidates will have a broad background in molecular biology,
including experience in the construction of cDNA libraries and the
expression and purification of recombinant proteins. The willingness
and ability to interact with scientists from outside the field of
biology are essential. Experience with phage display technology and/or
computational biology will be considered a plus. Experience with plant
systems is desirable, but not required.
