Dear Colleagues,
Any advice on a gene/probe for a constitutively expressed transcript to
use as a control for plants growing in different light quality environments
(e.g., not responsive to "light", and preferably not to externally applied
growth hormones such as GAs or ABA)? A recent paper indicated that rice
(beta-)tubulin expression was altered by these and other external stimuli, so
it may not be the best choice. Is actin still a reasonable option? Here the
level of expression scan be somewhat of a problem when using a heterologous
probe, and obviously gene-specific probes/conditions have identified important
variation in expression levels where examined. Thank you very much for any
help.
