MOLECULAR GENETICS OF TRANSGENE INTEGRATION
A postdoctoral research associate position is available
immediately to investigate and characterize transgene integration
in genetically engineered oat plants. A large population of
genetically engineered oat plants has been produced and
characterized. The goal is to clone fragments of the integration
transgene DNA to characterize the structure of the transgene loci
in the genetically engineered plants. Of particular interest is
the sequence of plant-transgene junction borders to determine
factors that affect the integration process.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in molecular genetics or a related
field. Experience in gene cloning required.
