A post-doctoral position is available immediately to work on molecular
biology related to lipid production and naturally occurring insect
resistance in transgenic plants. The work will expand on our previous
studies (Schultz et al., 1996 PNAS 93:8771-8775) and will include the
isolation of novel lipid biosynthesis genes. The project involves
collaboration with Dr. Basil Shorrosh at Cargill (Ft. Collins, CO) and as
such will allow first-hand experience of work in academia and industry.
The successful candidate will have experience in molecular biology.
Training or experience in biochemistry and yeast expression systems are
highly desirable. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Fort Collins is a community of approximately 100,000 located one hour
