A postdoctoral position is available immediately to investigate the role
of AINTEGUMENTA (ANT) in Arabidopsis floral organ development. ANT is a
member of the AP2 family of plant transcription factors and is required
for proper initiation and growth of floral organs. The project will
focus on the identification and characterization of functional and
structural domains of the protein. Experiments will include analysis of
transgenic and mutant plants using confocal microscopy, DNA binding
studies, and transient expression assays. Applicants must have
experience in general molecular biology techniques. For more information
about the lab, see http://zebra.biol.sc.edu/biology/faculty/krizek.html.
