Dear Arabidians

NASC and ABRC are pleased to announce the release of a recombinant inbred
line (RIL) population of 98 RI lines, developed and donated by Jim Beynon,

Wellesbourne, Warwick, UK. The population was generated using the parental
strains accessions Columbia (either Col-3 or Col-5) and Niederzenz (Nd-1).
These lines have been used to map loci involved in natural variation of
downy mildew and bacterial pathogen resistance (see Deslandes, L. et al,
(1998). Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, Vol.11, No.7,pp659-667;
Holub, E.B. and Beynon, J.L., (1997). Adv. Bot. Res., Vol. 24. pp228-273.)

Stocks can be ordered in the usual way from the ABRC
(http://aims.cps.msu.edu/aims) and NASC (http://nasc.nott.ac.uk) web
sites.

The complete set of 98 RI lines (F9 generation), plus the three parental
lines, can be ordered as stock number CS/N1696.

The handling charge is:
NASC 100 pounds sterling
ABRC 150 US dollars
