Hello !
I am a Ph.D. at Seoul National University in Korea. I received Ph.D.
from Seoul National
University under direction of Dr. C.S. An on February of this year. I am
therefore looking for
a postdoctorial position where I can apply knowledge of plant molecular
biology. I have
included summary of research experience and CV for reference.
Thank you,
Sincerely yours,
Ho Bang Kim
Summary of research experience :
I majored in host's part of nitrogen-fixing symbiosis in the course of
Ph.D. To study host
plant's role in actinorhizal plants-Frankia symbiosis at molecular
biological level, following
experiments were carried out in Elaeagnus umbellata (autumn olive, a
woody plant) as a
model plant; 1) Searching for nodule-specific polypeptides by SDS-PAGE,
2) Isolation of
nodule-specific/enhanced cDNA clones by differential hybridization
and grouping by
cross-hybridization and partial nucleotide sequencing, 3) Nucleotide
sequence determination
and genomic Southern hybridization of cDNA clones showing homology
with asparagine
synthetase, chitinase and polyubiquitin, respectively, 4) Northern
hybridization, RT-PCR
analysis and in situ hybridization for understanding temporal and spatial
expression pattern of
the cloned genes.
