With a $25 million turnover and over 450 employees, CPRO-DLO is one of the
largest and most innovative plant breeding research institutes in the world.
CPRO-DLO is a non-profit and market-oriented organization oriented towards the
genetic improvement of plants.
The department of Developmental Biology focusses on the isolation of regulatory
genes in plant development. These genes are used to enhance the efficiency of
breeding and reproduction, and to enhance crop quality. The core research
topics of the department are embryogenesis and flower development. For the
embryogenesis group we are currently looking for an outstanding
GROUP LEADER PLANT DEVELOPMENTAL GENETICS
You will give scientific leadership to a team of about 15 scientists,
technicians and students investigating the molecular regulation of early
embryogenesis, and its applications to engineering apomixis and microspore
embryogenesis. You will stimulate innovations in the strategic research program
and will develop new applications for industry.
You have several years of post-doctoral research experience, with a strong
background in plant molecular biology and/or genetics. You have your own
network within the scientific and/or ag-biotech community and you publish
regularly in the leading scientific journals. You are an inspiring research
manager who is innovation-, team-, and customer oriented. You have a proven
record for obtaining research funds.
