Research Associate-Plant Molecular Biology/Biochemistry

We seek a qualified postdoctoral research associate to work in the plant
genetic engineering laboratory isolating genes from various organisms and
introducing them into crop plants for characteristics like disease
resistance and other quality traits.  The successful candidate will be
involved in gene cloning, making constructs, transforming plants, and

Candidates require a Ph.D. in plant biochemistry/molecular biology,
excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills,
experience in recombinant DNA technology and plant transformation.
Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in protein
biochemistry.  Computer knowledge is an asset.  A valid driver's license
is required.


This is a professional position offering a comprehensive benefit package
and stimulating work environment.  Salary will be up to $37,000 per annum
depending on qualifications and experience.  This is a two-year term
position with the possibility of renewal.
