IN PLANT CELL BIOLOGY

Applications are invited for a three-year Postdoctoral Research
=46ellowship funded by the BBSRC. The position is to study the
coordination of cell division in the Arabidopsis root meristem using GAL4
enhancer trap/GFP technology to misexpress key regulators of the cell
cycle in specific cell layers and to monitor the effects in living roots
by laser scanning confocal microscopy. Candidates should have a strong
interest in plant cell biology, and previous experience in microscopy
(especially confocal), plant transformation and/or molecular biology
would be an advantage.
You will join a research group within an exceptionally well-equipped
multi-disciplinary laboratory in new purpose-built accommodation.
The position is available from 1 September 1998. The starting salary will
be up to =A316927 per annum (pay award pending).
