labelling RNA

Dear colleague,

I am trying to make a radiolabelled probe from Arabidopsis RNA. What I
am trying to do is to see changes in the expression of putative
downstream genes in my transgenic Arabidopsis. Thus, I will use a probe
generated from RNA and probe a dot blot that contains around 20 putative
genes. I wonder if anybody has a protocol for this. Should I use mRNA
instead of total RNA? I would be really appreciated if anyone can help
me. Thanks.
