toxic deoxy-Cytidine???

Greetings,
	 Does anyone know why 2 mM deoxycytidine is toxic to arabidopsis
seedlings? They don't mind 2 mM thymidine at all. Along the same lines,
does anyone know about what the "in vivo" concentration of deoxycytidine
would be in the root meristem?
