Proteomics Collaboration

Excellent package, including share options

OGS is an established proteomics-based drug discovery company. It is
recognised as a world leader in proteomic technology and pharmaceutical
glycobiology research and development.
We have created a proprietary integrated suite of technologies which
translate the link between genes, proteins and diseases in order to allow
the discovery and validation of potential molecular markers and therapeutic
targets faster than ever before.
ProteoGraph tm is an automated high-throughput protein expression analysis
process. Our highly advance bioinformatics system, ROSETTA tm manages all
aspects of proteome analysis, data integrity and integration with protein
and gene databases.

This technological excellence has been recognised by a number of valuable
research partnerships with OGS in 1998. The latest of these is a five year,
$27.5million collaboration for plant research with Pioneer Hi-Bred
International Inc.

Reporting directly to the Director of Proteome Development, you will manage
a small dedicated project team in order to ensure that the collaborative
project with Pioneer is completed successfully, to time and budget. You
will be expected to generate the project plan, its budget, and to manage
both. You will also be expected to be a key interface for the Company with
Pioneer, providing executive summary information as the project unfolds.
You will also be expected to generate and develop excellent links within
OGS own biology group as well as with external organisations.

This key role requires a PhD qualified botanist/plant geneticist with a
successful track record in either academic, or industry based, scientific
project management. You should be able to demonstrate excellent
relationship management, interpersonal, leadership and motivational skills
and have the personal credibility to build strong internal and external
