It is anticipated that two postdoctoral positions will be available over
the next 12 months to study methods for the massively parallel, automated
examination of gene expression in higher plants. These positions will
involve working with DNA microarrays, robotic microarraying
instrumentation, and microarray readers. Work will include implementing
improvements to microarray production, fluorochrome selection and probe
preparation, hybridization, and array scanning and analysis. The optimized
array systems will be employed to examine developmental gene expression as
well as the response of plants to environmental stimuli. Ph.D. in plant
molecular or cellular biology, robotic engineering, or related disciplines
and relevant experience.

Applicants should send a CV, statements of research accomplishments and
aspirations, and the names of three references. to: David Galbraith
