CABI Publishing announce a new agricultural & biotechnology service

CABI Publishing is pleased to announce the development of a new internet
resource, dedicated to information on Agricultural Biotechnology. Available
to print subscribers of AgBiotech News and Information from January 1999 at
no extra cost!

AgBiotechNet will provide World Wide Web access to AgBiotech News and
Information, a journal which combined news items and state-of-the-art
reviews with informative abstracts from around the world. Coverage includes
molecular techniques, genetic engineering, cloning and gene sequencing, in
vitro culture, cell, tissue and embryo manipulation, biosafety and
intellectual property rights, economics and social and legal aspects.

"AgBiotechNet is the first online resource of its kind in the field" says
Editor David Hemming. "It will pull together all the different strands of
information on agricultural biotechnology into one place, saving our readers
valuable time".

Users of AgBiotechNet will be able to search across a database of over
12,000 abstracts, and read industry specific news - updated at bi-weekly
intervals. They will also be able to view review articles, browse the full
text of selected book titles, and link to related information and sites.

"By moving the news and reviews to the Internet we can provide our
subscribers with more timely access to the late-breaking topics, and also
bring other relevant sources of information to hand", says Publishing Editor
David Nicholson, "We will continue to develop this site from 1999 and beyond
so that it will be a natural point of access for all those involved in the
agricultural and biotechnology field".

A preview of AgBiotechNet is available during 1998 at
http://agbio.cabweb.org. Visitors may view sample news, abstracts and book
files and other related information free of charge. From 1999 full access
will be restricted to registered subscribers. Some sample pages will remain
available for visitors to preview the site and find out more about
AgBiotechNet.

Individuals or organizations with a print subscription to AgBiotech News and
Information and access to the World Wide Web may register for access to
AgBiotechNet. A Registration form and further information is available at
http://agbio.cabweb.org/reg_main.htm.
