Postdoctoral position: Protein trafficking

A postdoctoral position is available to investigate the control of
subcellular protein trafficking in plants. Our recent focus has been on the
nucleo-cytoplasmic targeting of a repressor of light-regulated gene
expression in Arabidopsis (Plant Cell 11, 1-16 (1999); Gene 221, 35-43
(1998); Plant Physiol. 114, 779-788 (1997)). Demonstrated productivity in
the areas of cell biology or plant molecular genetics will be of advantage.
To apply, please send a CV and the names and addresses of three referees
to: Dr. Albrecht von Arnim, Department of Botany, The University of
Tennessee, Knoxville, TN 37996-1100; phone: 423-974-6206. Knoxville, which
harbors the flagship campus of the UT system, is a thriving, yet
affordable, community of ~200,000 in a scenic location in the Southeastern
US. Applications via email, or informal inquiries, are welcome at
vonarnim at utk.edu.
