PLANT CELL BIOLOGIST

The Department of Botany at the University of British Columbia
(http://www.botany.ubc.ca/) invites applications for an NSERC University
Faculty Award (UFA) from qualified women candidates working in the area of
plant cell biology. According to NSERC guidelines
(www.nserc.ca/programs/sf/UFA_e.htm) these highly competitive awards are
made to women only, who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of
Canada. This UBC tenure-track position, beginning July 1, 2000, is
contingent on success in the NSERC UFA competition, and will be made at the
Assistant Professor level. Candidates should have an active research program
studying some aspect of cell biology in plants, algae or fungi, including
related fields of physiology, development, genomics, metabolism, and
plant-pathogen interactions.

research program and teaching interests, three letters of recommendation and
