Postdoctoral position: Protein trafficking

A postdoctoral position is available in the area of nucleocytoplasmic
protein trafficking in plants. The recent focus in the lab has been on the
cytoplasmic, nuclear, and subnuclear targeting signals of the Arabidopsis
COP1 protein, a repressor of light-regulated gene expression (Plant Cell
11, 349-363 (1999); Gene 221, 35-43 (1998); Plant Physiol. 114, 779-788
(1997); Cell 79, 1035-1045 (1994)). One current goal is to clarify the
biological significance of individual subcellular targeting steps using
genetic reconstitution in Arabidopsis and a second goal is to identify
genetic regulators of subcellular protein localization. To apply, please
mail or email your CV and the names and addresses of three references to:
Albrecht von Arnim, Department of Botany, The University of Tennessee,
