Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor/Plant Molecular Genetics

Tenure Track, 12 Months, Full Time Proposed Start Date: December 1999,
Or As Negotiated Description: The individual in
this position will be expected to develop and maintain a nationally
recognized basic research program emphasizing soybean
molecular genetics. Specific areas of research may include genome
structure, gene cloning, and gene expression and
function. The individual must interact effectively with plant breeders
and other plant research groups within the outside the
university and be able to secure extramural funding. Start-up funds,
technical support, and annual research support are
available with the position. The successful applicant is expected to
participate in graduate and postdoctoral education in plant
molecular genetics. This position is budgeted 80% research and 20%
teaching and service. Required Qualifications: Ph.D.
and post-doctoral or equivalent experience in Genetics, Plant Molecular
Biology, or related field are required. The position
will be filled with the best individual at the assistant, associate, or
full professor. Preferred Qualifications: Salary/Wage:
