Post-doctoral Fellow in Eukaryotic Genomics.

There is an opening at TIGR for a Post-doctoral fellow to conduct research
on the experimental validation of computer-predicted gene models. Work will
involve analysis of hypothetical genes predicted in Arabidopsis genomic
sequence and their clustering into families. RACE-PCR will be used to clone
predicted transcripts from candidate genes in each family. Information from
validated gene structures will be used to refine gene prediction algorithms.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology with substantial
experience in RNA isolation and PCR, good computer skills and an interest in
bioinformatics.
