	Position Opening for Part-Time Postdoc or Techician
		               in
	             Plant Molecular Biology


Where: 	At the Marine Science Center of Northeastern University,
	Nahant, MA. The Marine Science Center is located on the
	ocean in the small town of Nahant, ca 10 miles north
	of Boston. Yes, we have our own beach!

What: 	The position is for a person with training in molecular
	biology, either at the Masters of Science or PhD level.
	Preference will be given to induviduals with a PhD and
	experience in plant molecular biology. Experience with
	Southern hyridization, gene cloning, and pcr are required.
	The research project you will be working on involves
	optimization of a newly developed genetic transformation
	system for a commercially valuable seaweed.


Details: The position is currently funded as a part-time position,
	with the possiblity of expanding to a full-time position
	next year. The number of hours of work are negotiable but
	should be between 15-20 hrs per week. The salary will be
	commensurate with that a postdoc and be between $15,000 -
	$20,000 per year. The position has an immediate opening.
