A post-doctoral position, funded for two years, is available for
research on the role of gibberellin (GA) turnover in plant development.
The work will involve studying the expression of GA 2-oxidase genes
(Thomas et al., 1999, PNAS 96:4698) in Arabidopsis and analyzing the
effects of tissue-specific over-expression of GA 2-oxidase on plant
development.
The appointment will be on the Band 6 scale within the range
#(UKP) 17,800-22,000 p.a., including a non-contributory pension scheme
and 25 days annual leave.
