The Department of Microbiology (http://www.bio.utk.edu/microbio.nsf) seeks
to fill an
academic position at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track).
Candidates must
have a Ph.D. in microbiology or a related area, postdoctoral experience and
publications in reviewed journals of excellent quality. They must also have
interest in
teaching at the graduate level in their area of expertise and at the
undergraduate level
in microbial physiology and molecular biology. Candidates must have the
capacity to
establish a research program in molecular microbiology fundable at the
national level.
Applicants should send a letter of interest, accompanied by a curriculum
vitae,
bibliography, statement of research and teaching interests and names and
addresses of
