Chromosome III

Dear All,

does anybody know whether there is something special with the
Arabidopsis chromosome III compared to the rest of the genome? For
example gene structure, nucleotide composition, recombination, or
evolution?
I am working on a small gene family of membrane proteins and a single
member that is located on chromosome III looks quite different to the
rest. This might be pure accidental or of any significance... though I
probably have to wait until more sequence is available. Thanks for any
comments.
