Subject: update of TIGR Plant Gene Indices
This is to inform a recent update of TIGR Plant Gene Indices.
Currently, TIGR maintains eightteen Gene Indices, including seven Plant
Gene Indices (Arab. Rice, Maize, Soybean, Tomato, Potato and Alfalfa).
Each Index can be searched through EST_id, Genbank accession, Gene name,
Lib_id as well as blast. As you visit the Index page, you will find an
improved web presentation. http://www.tigr.org/tdb/tgi.shtml
For more information about the new release, please check the release
notes.

Maize: http://www.tigr.org/tdb/zmgi/release_notes.html
Soybean http://www.tigr.org/tdb/gmgi/release_notes.html
Tomato: http://www.tigr.org/tdb/lgi/release_notes.html
Potato: http://www.tigr.org/tdb/stgi/release_notes.html
Alfalfa: http://www.tigr.org/tdb/mtgi/release_notes.html
For each Index, we also provide three files for local use.
1. A fasta file containing the complete, minimally redundant Index (TCs
and singletons).
2. A fasta file containing the complete set of TC sequences in the
Index with previous TC identities in the definition line.
3. A file containing the TC id's and the ESTs and Genbank Transcripts
that comprise them.
In addition, Mammal Gene Indices (human, mouse, rat and cow) have been
also updated.
If you have any question regarding TIGR Plant Gene Indices, Please send
mail to tgi at tigr.org
