Hello everyone,

Just a quick addition to Sean's excellent advice -

We are always careful to _not_ use toothpicks when picking up colonies
for colony PCR.  There appears to be something in the wood in some
toothpicks that inhibits the reaction.  Very strange, but we've
tested it & it's true.  So we always use pipette tips.
