RESEARCHER Position Available

Performance Plants Inc. is a Canadian plant biotechnology company whose
mission is
to genetically modify plant metabolism to improve agricultural
productivity.  The company is seeking experienced M.Sc.-level molecular
biologists to generate and study transgenic plants. This research is part
of a team-based approach focussed on identifying plants and technologies
suitable for future commercialization. The successful candidates must have
at least two years practical lab experience, and should have experience in
standard nucleic acid manipulations such as: vector construction, Southern,
northern, and PCR.  Applicants with previous experience in yeast two-hybrid
interaction and protein biochemistry will be a big plus.  Knowledge of
stress signaling, biology or plant development is also advantageous.
Successful candidates will ideally be detail-orientated, well-organized,
self-motivated, enthusiastic, adaptable, and able to appreciate goal-based
