An NSF funded postdoctoral position is available immediately to study
redox signaling and redox control of metabolism in Arabidopsis. It is
well known that the activity of specific enzymes is controlled by redox.
What is still an open question is the contribution of different redox
buffering systems to this control. The position will require experience
in plant molecular biology and enzymology and/or plant genetics. The
successful candidate must be able to demonstrate personal dynamism,
preferably through their publication record. The position is currently at
Rutgers University in New Jersey, but relocation to Iowa State University
during the summer of 2001 is possible. Contact Thomas Leustek at
