Dear colleague,

2 PhD positions are available in our group at the the laboratory of
Plant Physiology (Neuch=E2tel, Switzerland) and I would be grateful if you
could forward this information to possible candidates.

Kind regards,

Markus Geisler

2 PhD STUDENT POSITIONS immediately open in the laboratory of Plant
Physiology (Neuch=E2tel, Switzerland) to study the function of plant ABC
transporters in the model plant Arabidopsis using a variety of
approaches including molecular genetics, cell biology and biochemistry.

Plant ABC transporters have been shown to participate in detoxification
processes, however, recent results indicate that they play also a role
in plant development, either by transporting specific compounds or by
protein-protein interacting. One of the candidates will focus more on
substrates being transported by specific ABC transporters, the second
will search for interacting partners of ABC transporters (yeast
two-hybrid, FRET, etc.).

Candidates with prior experience in molecular biology/plant genetics or
plant physiology research are especially encouraged to apply and would
appreciate the exciting and challenging international research
environment at the beautiful lake of Neuch=E2tel.

Send CV, a short statement of research interests and the names/addresses
of putative referees preferrably by e-mail to:
